Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading the planning, execution, and certification of components and systems to support global Homologation on new and existing vehicle programs.
- Assisting R&D teams with interpretation of the regulatory requirements, offer expert opinions on controversial design issues, and justify the decisions to ensure that the Koenigsegg products are designed to meet global requirements.
- Monitoring running changes and updating type approval/certificates if necessary.
- Creating Homologation test plans and executing/supporting pre-Homologation and Homologation tests for on time completion.
- Following up the new published or upcoming regulations to be sure about their effects on Koenigsegg vehicles and taking necessary actions.

We expect you to :

- Have exceptional understanding of UN Regulations and F/CMVSS Standards applicable to components/systems/vehicles to conduct your tasks.
- Easily understand and interpret technical regulatory requirements, communicate and negotiate effectively with the authorities.
- Be part of the design process to communicate current and upcoming requirements with R&D and design teams.
- Be able to determine applicable test configurations for worst case scenarios, project detailed test plans and assist in scheduling certification tests.

OBD & Emissions Certification Engineer ensures together with the Head of Homologation that the vehicles meet the company and regulatory requirements. Together with the development engineers, you develop the technical strategies to comply with the regulations, for this you need technical understanding enough to understand how the engine control and monitoring works in detail. In addition, OBD & Emissions Certification Engineer will ensure that the Emissions and OBD-applications for certification are completed and submitted.

- Preparation of Reg (EC) 715/2017 information document for European Type Approval Process before testing starts in accordance with the time plan.

THE ROLE    
Homologation and Technical Compliance Department is now looking for an exceptional Homologation Engineer who will be responsible for Chinese Market. If you are ready for a challenge of a lifetime and be a part of an exciting journey, maybe you are the right person we are looking for!

Exceptional understanding of GB regulations.
Communicate current and upcoming requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
Exceptional understanding of GB regulations.
Communicate current and upcoming requirements.
Assist related teams with interpreting regulatory requirements, including seeking out interpretations as needed.
Work, plan and agree with Chinese authorities to ensure homologation requirements are understood.
Negotiate worst case scenarios along with other member of Homologation team with Chinese authorities to avoid unnecessary testing.

Create CoC (Certificate of Conformity), to support vehicle Import & registration.

THE ROLE    
We are looking for a Senior OBD & Emissions Homologation Engineer.
As a Homologation Engineer you will keep track on present regulations as well as having the upcoming regulations on your radar, prepare the technical documentation for the vehicles for various markets, mainly the USA, EU and China. You will also be in direct contact with the Authorities in countries where this is necessary. The Senior Homologation Engineer ensures together with the Head of Homologation that the vehicles meet the company and regulatory requirements. Together with the development engineers, you develop the technical strategies to comply with the regulations, for this you need technical understanding enough to understand how the engine control and monitoring works in detail. In addition, the Senior Homologation Engineer will ensure that the Emissions and OBD-applications for certification are completed and submitted.
The candidate will be working at Koenigsegg’s headquarter in Ängelholm, Sweden. Sometimes work can take place at test facilities at other locations in Sweden, other countries in Europe, USA, and China. The candidate must be able and willing to work and travel globally.
Responsibilities
Assist Koenigsegg Calibration Engineers regarding regulatory requirements.
Assist Koenigsegg Engine Design Engineers regarding technical requirements.
Prepare technical documentation and presentations according to authority requirements for the certification of Koenigsegg vehicles.
Plan and follow up on homologation activities.
Define and lead a process for emissions and OBD conformity testing
Conduct testing in the areas of emissions control/OBD and fuel economy, investigate and identify issues, determine root causes, and discuss regulation conformity
Plan and coordinate resources for testing (head count, vehicle, test cells, equipment)
Analyze data, summarize results, and prepare technical reports internally and to technical services & authorities.
Able to lead OBD and Emission related topics within the company as well as supporting lobbying activities.
Areas of expertise
Automotive Light/Passenger Emissions regulations (R(EU) 2018/1832, EPA and CARB, CO2 etc.), specifically regarding OBD-II and Emissions.
Automotive drivetrains, especially internal combustion engines and hybrid drivetrains.
Electric powertrain knowledge is plus.
