About the role

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will be a key player in contributing to the designs that push the boundaries of technology in the automotive industry, from concept to production.

Your main area of responsibility will be to design and develop state-of-the-art circuits for various automotive applications, including analog, digital, and power electronics. You will also work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize circuit performance and integrate the designs into the overall vehicle development cycle.

Support product verification, validation and design reviews to ensure robust and reliable outcomes.

Support design of ECU design, from scratchpad to production.

In order to be successful in this role, you need to have some experience with microcontroller design and digital communication systems as well as possess strong skills in PCB layout and power supply design, with a focus on optimization

- Developing high power, high voltage traction inverter using latest SiC technology
- Generate circuit design specifications and requirements
- Preparing test plans and active participation in testing process
- Close collaboration with mechanical engineers to provide most efficient packaging compliant with high voltage, EMC and thermal requirements
- Defining requirements for suppliers and close collaboration with them on providing best possible product
- Support design reviews and DFMEAs

Need to have

- Experience in developing power electronics for automotive (especially traction inverters and DCDC)
- Good understanding of EMC requirements and challenges for automotive applications
- Familiarity with high voltage design rules and standards e.g. IEC 60664
- Understanding of the theory and application of magnetics and capacitors in power electronics systems
- Experience in developing systems compliant with functional safety requirements (ISO 26262)
- Basic understanding of control theory and motor control algorithms
- Proficiency in schematics and PCB layout design (Altium experience preferable)

Further skills required:

- In-depth knowledge of the behavior and safety aspects of li-ion batteries as well as high voltage systems
- PCB design experience, preferably on Altium Designer
- Fundamental knowledge of the various functions for li-ion battery packs and BMS as well as experience within BMS hardware implementation
- Design experience on power distribution units, namely; architecture, component sizing and selection as well as testing and validation.

As we operate in an international working environment, fluency in written and spoken English is a must.

• Framtagande av systemhandlingar: Översiktliga geografiska ritningar, teknisk beskrivning mm. i samråd med övriga teknikområden
• Projektering av geografiska ritningar inkl. 3D-modeller och kretsscheman till signalsäkerhetsanläggningar i bygghandlingsskede. Kan vara allt från reläbaserade system till datorställverk inkl. ATC och ERTMS.
• Interngranskning, (möjligen även säkerhetsgranskning) av projekterade handlingar
• Teknisk säkerhetsstyrning, GOP handläggning signal

The Koenigsegg Electronics department is responsible for designing and developing software, electronic control units (ECU) and supporting tools for all Koenigsegg's cars. We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales. We are now looking to expand the team with skilled and experienced electronics design engineers with the ability to transform product requirements and production needs to state of the art solutions and to also further advance the electronics and electrical architecture in our cars.

The responsibilities associated with this position put a strong requirement on your ability to cooperate with other departments in other technical domains. The development activities are primarily focused on designing electronics (ECUs) for our cars.

Responsibilities

- Take full ownership of ECU design, from scratchpad to production
- Generate circuit requirements
- Create circuit design specifications
- Design and develop custom circuits: analog, digital, power electronics
- Perform board signal and power integrity analyses
- Perform verification and validation
- Support design reviews an DFMEAs
- Support and mentor engineers

Need to have

- Experience in selection and use of microcontrollers and their peripheral circuitry
- Experience designing digital communication busses
- Experience designing board level power supplies: buck, boost, etc
- Skilled in PCB layout, stack-up definition, and EMC optimization
- Proficient with Altium or other schematic and PCB layout design software
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing PCBs

Meritorious

- Experience in automotive electronics
- Experience working on high voltage, high power systems
- General familiarity with basic control theory and digital implementation of controls

Job Description:
As an Application Engineer in the Control Systems team, you will work with applying the control system to test equipment and engines, utilizing the full capabilities of the Freevalve system. This role works close to our customers, both on-site and remotely from our facilities. It means implementation of high level customer specific functionality, as well as being the control system specialist during testing.
Responsibilities:
Programming real-time embedded systems in C/C++ and testing the code in the lab and in real engines
Setting up engines in test cells/vehicles and troubleshooting the system
Utilize ATI Vision software interfaces to control system inputs and outputs
Create and maintain structured data acquisition methods
Create documentation around test setup, procedure and test results with conclusions based off expected behavior and any deviations
Communicate directly with third parties to deliver test data for development support
Assist in customer delivery programs and occasional on-site support
Plan, construct, test and evaluate embedded electronic circuits and systems
This job will require travel for longer periods of time when supporting engine dyno/vehicle testing at the customer site, up to 50 days per year

Basic Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (Mechatronics, electronics, software, etc.)
3-5 years of experience in real-time embedded systems development

THE ROLE
We are looking for a Electronics Design Engineer, who will join the Koenigsegg electronics design team and be part of the development of Koenigsegg’s advanced electrical system platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Taking responsibility from start to finish when it comes to development of Koenigsegg advanced electrical platforms.
You will be part of the Electronics Department and be in charge of:
ECU interfaces definition
Harness design and integration
Taking manufacturing aspects into account, test and validation,
Expanding the harness development team by taking part in recruitment, mentoring and training
Understanding, adopting and refining best design practices.
You will own complete vehicle harness design for all Koenigsegg projects.
You will be:
Working with mechanical engineers for ECU packaging and harness routing.
Working with Koenigsegg Electrical Department for in-house prototype harness manufacturing.
Working with our prototyping department for harness and ECU integration in test vehicles.
Involved in hands-on troubleshooting both on bench and in prototype vehicles.
Working with Koenigsegg’s purchasing department and external suppliers for components sourcing and subcontracted manufacturing.
 
REQUIREMENTS
English on a full professional proficiency level.
Profound knowledge and experience in design of schematics and harness layout.
Demonstrated successful experience in vehicle electrical development within a product design and manufacturing environment.
Proficient with tools and technologies as scopes, CAN bus, harness design tools etc.
Experience with automotive system architecture.

Experience in design for EMC optimization.
