Vineyard Operations

·Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of vineyard workflows and seasonal routines, ensuring efficient practices are documented and scalable for future teams.

·Take full responsibility for all core viticultural practices, including (but not limited to) vine pruning, canopy management, thinning, and disease control.

·Take full responsibility for weed management, implementation of cover crops, soil sampling and interpretation, and the development of a fertilization strategy, including foliar applications.

·Ensure accurate execution of replacement planting and provide well-documented approach to vine health throughout the season.

·Ensure we maintain harvest readiness, advise on vineyard logistics.

Winery Operations

·Take a leading role in establishing and refining winemaking processes and production workflows from grape intake and pressing to fermentation, lab analysis and final bottling.

·Take ownership of developing and maintaining SOPs for hygiene protocols, production equipment and cellar environment, as well as inventory of materials and consumables critical to winemaking.

·Maintain methodical recordkeeping of each production step to ensure traceability and quality control.

Ensure that all key procedures – both in the vineyard and winery – are well documented.

The specialist is expected to actively share their expertise with others, enabling the organization to maintain operations in case of absence or unexpected changes. Collaboration with external experts, such as vineyard associations or consultants, may also be required in in specific situations.
·Solid experience in both viticulture and winemaking, preferably in cool-climate regions.

·In-depth understanding of vineyard ecology, soil health, nutrient management, and disease prevention.

·Practical experience in traditional and modern winemaking techniques, including lab work and cellar hygiene

·Strong documentation and process management skills.

Experience from international vineyards or wineries is considered meritorious

About the Role:
As the newest addition to our team, the role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and drive solutions that will ensure that we are the undeniably best-in-class regarding the production of our quality products.
Reporting to our Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
Setting up machines to start a production cycle.
Controlling and adjusting machine settings (e.g. speed).
Feeding raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
Calibrate the machine before the production begins.
Ensure the machines are regularly checked and cleaned.
Monitor and control the machine performance and settings.
Regularly conduct tests of the machines' performance and operating capacity.
Inspect machinery with appropriate tools.
Feed raw materials into semi-automated machines and help the assembly line.
Fix any issues or malfunctions that may occur.
Check the output of the machines and identify any issues.
Keep an updated database on all of the machine's information, defective units, and final products.
Maintain a log of the activity.
Regularly submit performance reports.
Inspecting final products.
Moving of completed boxes of products to the correct inventory area.
Adhering to the safety regulations and protocol implemented in the packaging area.
Housekeeping and sanitation of the area.
Packing of product and customer orders with high accuracy.

Requirements:
Prior experience as a machine operator, preferably in snus production.
Understanding of production procedures.
Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear).
Strong knowledge of heavy duty and high-speed machinery.
Good understanding of production procedures and best practices.
Excellent knowledge of safety methods and hazard regulations.
Ability to read manuals, blueprints, and handbooks.
Good physical stamina and keen attention to detail.
Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary).
Duties will include the operating and basic maintenance of the packaging machine, and ensuring that finalised products are ready for distribution.
As a successful packaging machine operator, you should pay meticulous attention to detail and have the ability to troubleshoot minor problems.
Ultimately, a top-notch packaging machine operator should be a solution-driven individual who can carry packed boxes of differing weights if necessary.
